Shell Live Radio

Here's a live radio campaign done for a one-day promo by Shell Philippines. All the spots you will hear were done live on-air, on the day of the promo itself. There were no rehearsals nor pre-recordings. I'm quite happy with this because we felt we turned a problem (no pre-recorded material allowed) into an innovation.

When JWT Manila transferred offices from the 29th floor of the Enterprise Tower to the 7th floor of the Equitable Bank tower, we
produced this 30 second radio spot to familiarize our clients, colleagues and suppliers with our new address.

Bactidol RC Campaign

The following radio campaign was done for Bactidol antiseptic mouth and throat rinse. It was basically a series of spots trying to dispel people's notions about traditional but relatively ineffective alternate remedies for sore throat.

Personally, one of my favorites would've been the spot we did ribbing saltwater remedies but we couldn't proceed with it due to legal implications. (You'd be surprised how vicious those saltwater guys' lawyers can get when tearing into a case. They're practically sharks!)

Wireless Service Asia

Every March, Wiresless Service Asia holds a March Million Mania SMS based raffle for folks using their service to download icons and ringtones. In 2004, Leo Burnett Manila produced this Radio Campaign for this very promo.

What would you do with a million pesos? Here's what these guys did...

*A guy buys radio airtime to gloat at all the girls who've dumped him.

* A guy buys radio airtime just to say hi to all his friends and relatives.

* A couple of guys buy radio airtime just to goof around in the recording booth.

Line: Win a million, do whatever you want with it.

The campaign was named Radio Campaign of the Year at the 2005 Philippine Creative Guild Awards and also picked up a Gold Araw award for best copy, a silver for best radio spot and a bronze for best radio campaign at the 2005 Advertising Congress.
